Bryan Danielson: “Let’s give a round of applause for Top Flight. These men, this is what AEW is all about! Shortly after the match started, I heard a chant from the crowd that warmed my heart, and it was only three letters: ‘A-E-W!’

“The first Anarchy in the Arena almost ended my career. But the reason why I’m willing to come and fight in this Anarchy in the Arena at Double Or Nothing is because I love A-E-W! The Young Bucks and the Elite are part of the formation of AEW. But they don’t represent what AEW is anymore. Tony Khan has been at every single AEW show since its inception. Every Dynamite. Every Collision. Every Rampage. Every Ring of Honor show. The Bucks want to run this company? They’re not even here!

“You want to know why I’m willing to fight in a match that almost ended my career. It’s because of one reason: I love AEW. I love what AEW represents. I love what AEW gives to the fans. And I will do anything, and I mean anything, to protect it.”

Shane Taylor Promotions’ Lee Moriarty (with Shane Taylor)

vs.

“The Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay!

AEW International Champion Roderick Strong was on commentary for this match. Strong was joined by ROH World Tag Team Champions Matt Taven and Mike Bennett.

After the match Tony Schiavone entered the ring to interview Brian Cage and the Gates of Agony. Schiavone asked why they attacked Swerve Strickland on Dynamite last Wednesday.

Cage: “It’s not Swerve’s house anymore! Swerve, you’re selfish. You and Nana both. All the two of you did was take and take and take. You left us high and dry until you needed us once again. That’s not the kind of leadership and guidance we were looking for. The kind of leadership and guidance we were looking for is that of our elite EVPs, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson.”

AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland’s music began to play! Cage walked out of the ring and up the ramp, waiting for Swerve to appear. Swerve snuck up through the crowd, carrying a steel chain! Swerve double stomped Toa, and then the AEW World Champ served up a double stomp to Bishop Kaun! Swerve wrapped the chain around Bishop Kaun, tying him up against the ring post. As Swerve was dealing with Bishop, Toa charged and shoulder blocked Swerve! Toa charged at Swerve again, but this time Swerve rocked Toa with a cinder block! Swerve grabbed Toa by the hair, stood on Toa’s head on the top ring step, and smacked him with a steel chair!

Cage glared at Swerve as Cage backpaddled up the ramp.

After a commercial break, Swerve Strickland was backstage with strong words for the Mogul Embassy!

“Brian Cage, this Wednesday on Dynamite in my home state of Washington, you face off with the AEW World Champion. So, people, you know how it goes. Welcome to whose house?”

Christopher Daniels was walking by when Matthew Jackson stopped him and started screaming at him. Daniels yelled back and said he wasn’t some lackey.

Daniels: “I’ve been here since day one. I earned this job! And I put my own career off to the side to make this company as good as it can be. And I was your friend when being your friend was the hardest job on the planet. So, if you ever talk to me like that again, I’ll beat your ass, Matt!”

We heard from Christopher Daniels tonight!

Daniels: “I’ll never enjoy my success so much that I forget the sacrifices it took to get there. But Matt and Nick, you seem to have forgotten where you’ve come from. But I haven’t forgotten. Now that AEW is five years old, we’re set to reap the benefits, but you want to make this about yourselves rather than the company and I’m not going to let that happen.

“This past week on Dynamite you tried to start a riot in the ring, and I went to do my job to keep the peace and you talked down to me like I’m some servant. Well Matt and Nick, you found out I’m not going to stand for that.

“But now your feelings are hurt because as some form of punishment I have to get a partner and meet you in the ring this Wednesday night. Okay, well as far as a partner goes, I pick Matt Sydal, the original highflying innovator. Because we’ve held championships before, and we know what it means to be successful. Your title as EVP won’t matter when the bell rings. And as far as punishment, yeah, someone’s going to get punished, just not who you think.”

Dax Harwood said he was ready for AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada’s challenge to a match this Wednesday on Dynamite!

Dax: “I promise you on Wednesday night you ain’t never faced anybody like me!”

This. Is. Rampage!

AEW Rampage began with…

Lexy Nair interviewing Claudio Castagnoli backstage, wondering why he left Bryan Danielson alone in the ring after their victory.

Claudio: “Anarchy in the Arena. I was watching last Wednesday and Bryan came out and wanted to fight and represent AEW. I understand that. I understand wanting to beat the crap out of the Elite. But him and Eddie Kingston at Anarchy in the Arena again? Last time they were in Anarchy in the Arena together, it was almost the end of Bryan’s career.

“I know Eddie is walking around saying he’s a changed man. But Eddie can go back to his old self in a second. I know him better than anyone else. I know this is Bryan’s last year and he’s calling the shots, he’s doing all the matches he wants to do. And I support that. But that one, I want my friend to retire healthy and I don’t want anything to do with Anarchy in the Arena and Danielson and Moxley. I don’t want anything to do with it. I don’t want Danielson to get hurt.”

Copeland: “Malakai Black, I’ve already taken out Buddy Matthews and Brody King, so now it’s your turn. You want evil? You want my darkest side? It’s starting to come out and I don’t think you want it. But I think I do. So, I have a challenge for you. At Double Or Nothing, Las Vegas, Malakai Black against Copeland in a barbed wire steel cage match for the TNT Championship! If you’re man enough, I want to see you this Wednesday on Dynamite to accept my challenge!”
